Creamy garlic mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 cup cream
  • salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Perfect side dish

Peel and dice the potatoes. Finely chop the garlic cloves. Bring the potatoes to a boil in a large pot of salted water and cook for about 15-20 minutes, until tender. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash with a potato masher or hand mixer until smooth. Stir the fried garlic, cream, and butter into the mash. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Transfer the mash to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh parsley (optional). Serve immediately. Per serving: 220 calories, 10g fat, 30g carbohydrates, 4g protein.
