Penne with minced meat and garlic yogurt

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 250g penne
  • 250 g minced beef
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp, heaped tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Pepper, from the mill
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • possibly chili powder
  • 3 cups of yogurt (1.8%, 150 g each)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Italy meets Türkiye

Cook the penne as usual. While the water is boiling, prepare the remaining ingredients. Chop the onions and fry until lightly browned. Then add the tomato paste and mix well. Add the minced meat and season with salt, pepper, cumin, thyme, and paprika. If you like it a little spicy, you can add chili powder. Pour the yogurt into a bowl, press the garlic cloves into the yogurt, season with salt, and mix. Drain the pasta, return it to the pot, add the cooked minced meat, and mix. Serve on plates, drizzle with the yogurt sauce, and serve immediately.
