Potato gratin quick and easy

Boil the potatoes, peel them, and cut them into even slices. Rub the garlic clove into the baking dish and then grease it with butter. Chop the remaining clove into small pieces and fry it in a pan with the onion rings. Alternate the potato slices, onions, and cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper after each layer. Top with cheese, combine the cream and herbs, and pour over the gratin. Bake the casserole for 20-30 minutes in a preheated oven at 170°C (350°F). Serve with sausages or add a layer of tuna. The gratin tastes even better when cooked through.
