Chocolate cream cheese muffins

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 150 g cream cheese
  • 1 ½ tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 160 g brown sugar
  • 100 ml oil (tasteless)
  • 300 ml buttermilk
  • Couverture, chocolate, chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C. In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cocoa powder. Lightly beat the egg in a large bowl. Add the brown sugar, oil, and buttermilk and mix. Carefully fold in the flour mixture. Pour a quarter of the batter into the holes. Place 1 teaspoon of filling on each and fill with batter. Bake in the middle rack at 160°C (convection oven) for 20-25 minutes. Let cool. Dip in chocolate coating, let dry slightly, and sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles.
