Generational recipe

Knead the flour, sugar, butter (cut into small pieces) and nuts into a dough, then chill for 1 hour. Form a log, cut off pieces, and shape them into croissants. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake on the second rack from the bottom in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Mix the sugar and vanilla sugar, toss the freshly baked croissants in it, and let cool. This recipe comes from my grandmother, who used to run a bakery. The best vanilla croissants in the world!
