Hard-boiled eggs in mustard sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 eggs
  • 500 ml milk
  • 2 packs of sauce powder for hollandaise sauce
  • 150 g peas (frozen)
  • 3 tbsp mustard, medium hot
  • some salt and pepper
  • 1 bunch of chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Boil the eggs hard. Bring the milk to a boil. Whisk in the gravy powder. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 2 minutes. Add the peas and let them simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes. Season the sauce with mustard and season with salt and pepper. Wash the chives and finely chop them. Peel and halve the eggs. Add them to the sauce. Sprinkle with the chives. Serve with boiled potatoes. You can also use homemade hollandaise sauce. In this case, omit the milk. Non-vegetarians can top with crispy fried bacon.
