Peppers – Ham – Rice

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 large red bell pepper(s)
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 5 slices of ham
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Place the rice in a saucepan with water, butter, and a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low. After 5 minutes, turn off the heat completely and let the rice swell in the residual heat. Meanwhile, slice the ham and bell pepper into thin strips and place them on a platter. Add the cooked rice, toss everything with the ketchup, and season with salt and pepper.
