Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 150 g carrot(s)
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • 50 g butter, soft
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 100 g flour
  • 50 g oat flakes, fine
  • 200 ml buttermilk
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

for children from 10 months

Wash, peel, and finely grate the carrots. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff peaks form. Cream the butter with the sugar and egg yolks until fluffy. Stir in the flour, oatmeal, buttermilk, and carrots. Fold in the beaten egg whites and let the batter rest for 10 minutes. Pour 2 tablespoons of batter into the waffle iron for each waffle, bake for about 3 minutes until golden brown, and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
