Ham Sandwich with Strawberries and Fresh Goat Cheese

The perfect ham sandwich with strawberries and fresh goat cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 6 Toast slices
  • 150 g Cooked ham
  • 150 g Strawberries from Europe
  • 150 g Goat cream cheese
  • 1 Lettuce
  • 1 Yellow pepper
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • Mint leaves
  • 6 Sandwich picks
  1. Toast the sandwich slices in the toaster until they are golden brown. Then let cool on a plate.
  2. In the meantime, wash the strawberries, remove the middle part and cut into narrow strips. Wash the lettuce as well and pluck the leaves into palm-sized pieces.
  3. When the toast has cooled completely, spread three slices of goat’s cream cheese and place the strawberry slices on top.
  4. Mix the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and honey together and pour onto the strawberries – let it steep a little.
  5. Then cut the peppers into very narrow strips and drape them on the toast together with the salad. Add the cooked ham and, if you like, a few chopped mint leaves and fold into a sandwich with a second slice of toast. If you like, you can also coat the top half of the sandwich with the goat’s cream cheese beforehand.
  6. Finally cut the sandwich toasts in half diagonally and fix with wooden sticks – bon appétit!
