Puff pastry nut spirals

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry (refrigerated counter)
  • 200 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 100 ml cream
  • 200 g powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Place the hazelnuts, sugar, egg, and cream in a bowl and mix until smooth. Roll out one roll of puff pastry on a work surface and spread the nut mixture evenly over it. Place the second roll of puff pastry on top and press the edges down slightly. Cut the filled puff pastry in half crosswise and cut into 1 cm wide strips. Twist these strips into spirals and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. Let cool. Sift the icing sugar into a bowl and mix with 1-2 tablespoons of hot water until smooth. Cover the spirals with the icing sugar glaze. Let dry.
