Tomato cream cheese sauce with bacon for pasta

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 125 g diced ham
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed, approx. 500 g each
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • oregano
  • basil
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar
  • some butter for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Brown the ham in a little butter. Add the finely chopped onion and crushed garlic and sauté briefly. Deglaze the pan with the passata and bring to a boil. Stir in the cream cheese and simmer gently until the cream cheese has dissolved. Season the sauce with spices and sugar to taste. I like to prepare the sauce a little ahead of time so it can infuse well. It tastes even better after reheating.
