Ingredients for 20 servings:

  • 1 kg carrot(s)
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 400 g lean pork
  • 5 tbsp sunflower oil
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Lunch porridge from the 6th month, ideal for starting with complementary foods

Peel and slice the carrots and cook in a little water until soft. Peel and dice the potatoes and cook in a little water. Cut the pork into small pieces and brown, then add a little water and simmer well. Do not drain the water! Divide the oil between the 3 pots. Finely puree the contents of all 3 pots individually using an immersion blender, layer them into prepared containers and freeze. The oil is important; otherwise the vitamins cannot be absorbed, so please do not reduce the amount. I use sunflower oil because it has more polyunsaturated fatty acids than olive oil, for example. Most of the vitamins are in the boiled liquid, so it is better to cook with a little water and add a little more boiled water later when pureeing instead of throwing away the vitamins.
