Sarah's 3-layer baby food

Spread the love

Ingredients for 20 servings:

  • 1 kg zucchini
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 400 g chicken
  • 6 tbsp sunflower oil
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Lunch porridge from the 6th month, ideal for starting with complementary foods

Clean and slice the zucchini and boil in water until soft. Peel and dice the potatoes and boil them in water too. Cut the meat into small pieces and fry, then add water and simmer well. Do not drain the water! Add 2 tablespoons of oil to each pot. Puree the contents of all 3 pots individually with a hand blender and fill layers in prepared containers and freeze. The oil is important; otherwise the vitamins cannot be absorbed, so please do not reduce the amount. I use sunflower oil because it has more polyunsaturated fatty acids than olive oil, for example. Most of the vitamins are in the boiled liquid, so it’s better to cook with less water and add a little boiled water later when pureeing instead of throwing away the vitamins.
