Red chicken dumplings in chicken broth

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 liter chicken broth
  • 170 g chicken, shredded
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • ½ tsp oregano, dried
  • ½ tsp thyme, dried
  • ½ tsp marjoram, dried
  • ½ tsp basil, dried
  • some salt and pepper
  • 3 tbsp cream (full cream)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine the chicken, tomato puree, herbs, salt, pepper, cream, egg yolk, onion, and garlic in a bowl. Puree thoroughly with a hand blender. Add the flour and breadcrumbs and mix thoroughly. Bring the chicken stock to a boil, then use 2 tablespoons to form dumplings and add them to the broth. Let stand for about 20 minutes. Serve and sprinkle with a few herbs.
