Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 package of black bread, e.g. pumpernickel
  • 400 g goat’s cheese
  • 200 g ham, e.g. air-dried raw ham
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp honey mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • Walnuts for decoration
  • Herbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 45 minutes

without wheat flour, without cow’s milk

Line a round springform pan with brown bread. Finely chop the onions and mix with the goat’s cheese, oil, honey mustard, and spices. Spread half of the mixture evenly over the brown bread. Place half of the ham on top. Add another layer of brown bread and spread the remaining goat’s cheese mixture on top. Add another layer of ham and garnish with walnuts, herbs, and honey mustard, if desired. Refrigerate the cake overnight and enjoy the next day.
