Fish hot dog

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 fish fingers
  • 4 slices of toast (buttered toast)
  • e.g. mayonnaise

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 14 minutes

Preheat the deep fryer to 170°C and fry the fish fingers for 4-4.5 minutes. Don’t overcook them, as this will diminish their flavor and make them less tender. Only toast the bread lightly; it shouldn’t brown, or it will break during cooking. Place a fish finger on the edge of the toast, spread two lines of mayo down the middle next to the fish finger, fold the slice of toast over, and you’re done! You can vary it with other hot dog toppings, such as cabbage, pickles, corn, peppers, and onions. Without the vegetables, it tastes very similar to McDonald’s Filet-o-Fish Burger.
