Leek toast

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • ½ chili pepper(s)
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 100 g cheese, grated, e.g. Pecorino
  • 50 ml sweet cream
  • ½ tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil or another neutral tasting
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 slices of toast

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

to prepare well

Heat the oil, finely slice the leek and chili peppers, and sauté. Finely dice the ham and add it, sautéing for about 10 minutes. The leek should still be firm to the bite. Dust with flour, stir in the cream, and bring to a boil. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from the heat and stir in about half of the grated cheese. Let cool. Lightly toast the bread, spread the cooled leek mixture on top, sprinkle with the remaining cheese, and grill for about 10 minutes.
