Filled baguettes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 large baguette rolls
  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), diced
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 75 g Parmesan, grated
  • 500 g minced meat, half and half
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 tomatoes
  • 8 slices of cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut open the baguettes and hollow them out. Mix the minced meat with tomato paste, onions, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Distribute the minced meat mixture evenly among the hollowed-out baguettes. Slice the tomatoes and arrange them on the baguettes. Cut the cheese slices lengthwise and layer them on the tomato-topped baguettes. Place the baguettes on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 225°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. Tip: If desired, the minced meat mixture can be seasoned with basil, chili, or other spices.
