Smoked pork on a tray

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg smoked pork, boned
  • 1 ½ kg potatoes
  • 2 cups of cream
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup crème fraîche
  • n. B. Grated cheese for gratinating
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • nutmeg
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

topped with potatoes and cheese

Boil the unpeeled potatoes in their jacket potatoes for about 15 minutes. Peel and let cool. Meanwhile, cut the smoked pork into slices about 1.5 cm thick. Make a sauce from the cream, sour cream, and crème fraîche and season with the spices. Place the smoked pork slices on a greased baking tray. Coarsely grate or shred the potatoes and spread them over the meat. Pour the sauce over the potatoes and bake the tray in a preheated oven at 200°C (convection oven) for about 1 hour. Sprinkle the cheese over the potatoes 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time to prevent it from burning. Serve with a fresh salad. Note: There is no specific amount of cheese, as some people prefer more cheese for the topping and others prefer a little less. This dish is really easy to prepare. We made it for New Year’s Eve and all of our guests loved it.
