Creamy cream cheese sauce for pasta

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300g pasta
  • 1 pack of bacon cubes, approx. 100 g
  • 1 pack of cream cheese, approx. 150 g
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 tsp, heaped vegetable stock
  • Fat for frying
  • some basil, dried
  • some oregano

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Melt a little fat in a small saucepan and fry the bacon bits. Add the cream cheese to the bacon bits. Add the stock, basil, and oregano. Immediately afterward, pour in the milk and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until the cream cheese melts completely and a creamy sauce forms. When draining the pasta, add a little pasta water (about 3 tablespoons) to the sauce. Divide the pasta among the bowls and pour the sauce over it.
