Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 7 hours 30 minutes
no cake, no fondant
Prepare the lemon cake according to the instructions. Take two 3 tablespoons of batter each, color one small amount with green and one with red food coloring, and fill muffin cups. Pour the remaining batter into a 20cm springform pan and bake according to the instructions. After about 5-10 minutes of baking, sprinkle the surface of the cake with sesame seeds. Alternatively, any other light-colored cake batter can be used. Prepare the chocolate cake according to the instructions and bake it in a 20cm springform pan. Any other dark-colored batter can be used here as well. Let both cakes cool. In the meantime, make a crepe batter from egg, flour, milk, oil, and vanilla sugar. Halve the mixture and color one half with yellow food coloring and the other with green food coloring. Bake thin crepes, but do not let them brown. Tear the green crepe into “lettuce leaves” and cut the yellow one into square “cheese slices.” For the mayo and ketchup, melt 300g of white chocolate in 200g of heated cream. Divide the sauce in half and tint one half bright red. Alternatively, pureed strawberries, vanilla sauce, strawberry sauce, or icing can be used. Cut the lemon cake in half horizontally to create a large burger bun. Cut off the top of the chocolate cake to create a 2-2.5cm thick cake base. Drizzle the light cake base with a little mayo and ketchup, arrange some of the green lettuce leaves on top, leaving them slightly overhanging the edges. Drizzle a little more sauce over the top, place the chocolate cake slice on top as the “meat.” Add more sauce, arrange the cheese slices, and thinly slice the colorful muffins and place them around the edge as the “tomato” and “cucumber.” Cover with the remaining sauce, arrange the remaining lettuce leaves on top, and finally place the lemon cake on top as a burger bun lid. If you want it to be higher, you can add more layers and appropriate “vegetables.” Serve with “fries” made from simple shortcrust pastry, served with the remaining “mayo” and “ketchup” chocolate sauce as a dip. This cake is perfect for those who don’t like cakes or fruit tarts.
