Fried Potatoes with Bacon – Prepared Differently
The perfect fried potatoes with bacon – prepared differently recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 800 g Potato (mainly waxy)
- 2 piece Onions
- 50 g Bacon
- 5 tbsp Sunflower oil
- 1 tsp Caraway seeds (to taste)
- 1 tsp Sea-Salt
- First peel the potatoes, cut into pieces / cubes and cook in salted water until they are almost cooked.
- In the meantime, peel the onions and cut into fine cubes, also finely dice the bacon.
- Place a pan on the hob over high heat and add the bacon along with 2 tablespoons of oil to the pan. When the bacon begins to take on color, add the onion and stir well. Now fry everything until the bacon is crispy and the onion is golden brown. Take both out of the pan and leave as much fat as possible in the pan. Switch off the hob.
- When the potatoes are ready, drain them and let them evaporate briefly until there is no more water.
- Place the pan with the fat back on the hob over high heat. When it is hot, add the remaining oil and then add the potatoes together with the caraway seeds (if you like caraway seeds, otherwise just leave out) and add the salt at the same time. Mix everything well and fry the potatoes until they are nice and brown on all sides. Just before the potatoes are ready, add the bacon along with the onions and toss well.
- Season with salt again and serve. Good Appetite!
