Crumble cake with plums from a jar
Melt the margarine in a small saucepan over low heat. Drain the plums well in a sieve. Line the bottom of a 26 cm springform pan with baking paper or grease it. Preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Add the slightly cooled margarine and mix all ingredients with a mixer on the lowest speed until crumbles form. Pour three-quarters of the crumble into the springform pan and press firmly onto the bottom. Spread the plums on top, skin-side down. Whisk together the sour cream, egg, sugar, and custard powder and pour over the plums. Sprinkle with the remaining crumble. Place the pan in the center of the hot oven and bake for 45-50 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for another 10 minutes. Only then remove the sides of the springform pan.
