Meatballs with feta cheese

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g minced beef
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 handful of breadcrumbs
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 2 small chili peppers, dried
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • some pepper
  • 100 g feta cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Finely dice the onion and place it in a bowl. Add the salt, pepper, chopped chilies (I use dried ones from the garden; they’re very hot. You can use more if you like), and the ground beef. Mix with a fork (this makes it nice and fluffy). Add the egg and mix again with the fork. Cut the feta cheese into approximately 5 mm pieces and stir in. While stirring, add the breadcrumbs until you have a smooth mixture that’s easy to form into dumplings. Form dumplings (about 8) with your hands and flatten them slightly. Fry the dumplings over medium heat (8 of 9 levels) until they are browned on all sides, then let them rest in a preheated oven at 150°C for 10 minutes.
