Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 ml buttermilk
  • 2 bottles of butter-vanilla flavoring
  • 600 g flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 300 g sugar
  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 17 minutes; Total time approx. 47 minutes

for 25 pieces

Mix buttermilk with the butter-vanilla flavoring. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, cream the sugar and butter with a hand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment until fluffy. Then add the eggs and mix well. Gradually add the buttermilk and flour and mix well. The finished batter will be very sticky. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan/convection oven). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Either fill the batter into a piping bag or use two tablespoons. Place about 1 tablespoon of batter onto the baking sheet. Leave enough space between each layer, as the batter will still spread. Bake for about 17 minutes. Makes about 25 American cookies. If you like, cover them with sugar or chocolate icing.
