Goulash from the pork topside

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g pork from the topside
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 6 carrots, cut into pieces
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 600 ml vegetable stock
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • oregano
  • Thyme
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • possibly sauce thickener
  • some margarine, melted

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

ideal for beginners

Dice the meat and brown in the margarine. Add the onion, garlic, and carrot pieces and fry briefly. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and thyme. Add the tomato paste and continue frying briefly, then deglaze with the vegetable stock and simmer with the lid on for about 1 hour over low heat. Stir occasionally. Thicken the sauce with a little thickener, if desired.
