Apple rolls with quark and oil dough

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 65 g sugar
  • 100 ml oil (e.g. sunflower oil)
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 300 g spelt flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 3 apples, sour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

makes about 15 sweet rolls

Mix the quark with sugar, vanilla sugar, and oil in a mixer. Add the flour and baking powder and knead until the dough reaches a good consistency (I use a mixer at first, then I knead by hand). Peel, core, and finely chop the apples. Knead the apples into the dough (add more flour if necessary until the dough no longer sticks to your hands). Shape them into small rolls (depending on the size, you’ll need about 15 rolls) and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (fan oven) for about 30 minutes on the middle rack. Tip: Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
