Grandma's tomato and pepper sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 kg tomatoes, halved
  • 3 kg peppers, yellow, clean and quarter
  • 3 onions, clean and dice
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar (wine vinegar)
  • salt and pepper
  • chili powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

For preserving, keeps for a long time. Great gift idea

Boil the bell pepper pieces, tomato halves, and chopped onions without adding any liquid, then strain and bring to a boil with the vinegar and spices. Pour the sauce while still boiling hot into preheated, clean jars and seal. Store in a cool, dark place. Enough for 24 250 ml jars. A slightly different gift idea for Christmas or simply as a small souvenir.
