Pork strips with paprika and tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork schnitzel
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 4 onions
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • ⅛ liter cream
  • ⅛ liter meat broth
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the meat into 1/2 cm strips. Mix the flour, salt, and pepper, and toss the meat in the flour. Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Heat the butter and fry the meat until browned. Reduce the heat, add the onions, and cook until lightly browned. Sauté the tomato paste. Stir in the paprika. Immediately add the cream and meat broth, as otherwise the paprika will burn and become bitter. Simmer everything over medium heat for 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Delicious with rice.
