Poppy seed cake with egg liqueur

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup oil
  • ½ pack of baking powder, 80 g poppy seeds
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 100 ml egg liqueur
  • Chocolate shavings

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Beat egg whites until stiff. Combine egg yolks, sugar, flour, and oil. Add baking powder and poppy seeds. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Bake for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius. Spread the outside of the cooled poppy seed cake with whipped cream and garnish. Pipe a border and fill the inside with eggnog. Garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
