Breakfast: Chocolate Waffles
The perfect breakfast: chocolate waffles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 175 g Wholemeal spelled flour
- 50 g Desiccated coconut
- 1 tl Tartar baking powder
- 2 tbsp Cottage cheese or yogurt
- 175 ml Milk
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 Msp Cardamom
- 1 tbsp Tigernut butter or other nut butter
- 2 tbsp Coconut oil
- 3 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp Maple syrup
- Mix flour, baking powder, desiccated coconut, yoghurt, spices, maple syrup, cocoa powder, melted coconut oil, tiger nut butter and add enough milk to make a smooth batter. First pour in 150 ml of milk and the rest as required.
- Bake the batter in a greased waffle iron in portions. You can also mix a nut butter sauce with it. Mix approx. 2 – 3 tablespoons of maple syrup, 2 tablespoons of tiger nut or peanut butter, a pinch of salt and approx. 40 ml of milk. Dip the finished waffles in it.
