Breakfast: Date and Chocolate Waffles

The perfect breakfast: date and chocolate waffles recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 130 g Pitted Medjoul dates
  • 325 ml Any milk
  • 2 tbsp Nut butter
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 3 Pc. Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 250 g Wholemeal spelled flour
  • 20 g Cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Tartar baking powder
  1. Puree the dates, eggs, milk, nut butter, coconut oil and maple syrup to a creamy mass. Add flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder and stir in briefly. Bake the batter in the waffle iron to make waffles.
  2. The waffles taste delicious with honey or maple syrup, jam, Greek yogurt, fresh berries etc.
