Baked leek

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 50 ml cream
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 50 g grated Gouda or Emmental
  • butter flakes
  • 5 slices of cooked ham
  • 2 leeks

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Low carb – only 3 g carbs per 100 g of leek, but many valuable antioxidants

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan/convection oven. Wash the leeks and cut them into equal, approximately 10 cm long pieces. Halve these lengthwise and place them cut-side down in a baking dish. If desired, you can wrap the leeks in ham beforehand, but the casserole tastes delicious even without the ham. Season the cream with the spices and pour it over the leeks. Sprinkle with grated cheese and pieces of butter and place in the oven for about 20 minutes. Optional: Turn on the grill function for the last 5 minutes.
