can also be prepared in the oven

Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, dice the fruit, and place them in a bowl. Finely chop half a clove of garlic and add it to the strawberries. Finely chop the basil leaves and mix them with the olive oil and strawberry pieces. Season with salt, pepper, and chili. If your strawberries aren’t quite sweet yet, you can also stir in a little honey. Let stand for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to develop. Fire up the grill or preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Cut the baguette into slices. Drizzle the slices with olive oil and grill or bake in the oven for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Briefly rub half a clove of garlic over the crispy slices. Place the strawberry mixture on the baguettes and enjoy!
