Hawaiian meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g minced meat
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 slices of pineapple
  • 4 slices of cheese (young Gouda)
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Thoroughly mix the ground meat with the egg, breadcrumbs, onions, and mustard. If it’s still too runny, add more breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper, knead well again, and form into 4 large, flat meatballs. Fry in a contact grill or pan with a little oil. Then place on a baking sheet and top each with a slice of pineapple and cheese. Bake at 200°C until the cheese is melted.
