Gratinated peppers – yogurt – schnitzel

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 6 small schnitzels, e.g. from pork loin
  • 1 ½ cups yogurt
  • 2 medium-sized bell peppers
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 100 ml broth
  • some cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • some fat, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Sear the thin schnitzels for about 2-3 minutes on each side, season with salt and pepper, and set aside. Briefly add the finely diced onion and bell pepper to the frying fat, deglaze with the broth, and add the yogurt. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat. Place the schnitzels in a casserole dish, pour over the onion, bell pepper, and yogurt sauce, and bake with grated cheese for about 15 minutes at 175°C. Serve with rice. Tip: If you don’t like cheese, you can also serve the sauce with the schnitzels without gratinating.
