Potato salad with vegetarian sausages

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potato(s), waxy
  • 150 g gherkins
  • 5 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 4 Vienna sausages, vegetarian
  • 3 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 2 tbsp table vinegar
  • 1 tbsp whiskey
  • some cayenne pepper
  • some caraway
  • some salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Heat water in a pot and boil the potatoes for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, chop the gherkins into small pieces. In a salad bowl, whisk together the vinegar and oil. Drain the potatoes, let them cool, and then dice them. Add them to the sauce along with the gherkins and mix well. Season to taste. Heat the sausages in hot water. Mix the ketchup with the whiskey. Serve everything together.
