Potato salad with dill sauce

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 2 kg potatoes
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 100 ml vinegar (herb vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • some pepper
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 50 ml water
  • 1 bunch of dill
  • 500 ml cream
  • 300 ml milk
  • 8 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp herbal salt
  • 1 tsp dill tips, dried
  • 1 dashes lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Boil the potatoes and let them cool. Then peel and slice them. Peel and finely chop the onions. Combine all the ingredients for the first sauce in a saucepan and bring to a boil while stirring. Pour over the potato slices and stir in gently. Place the cream and milk in a bowl and stir in the mayonnaise. Add the sugar, herb salt, and dill sprigs and mix well. Season with a squeeze of lemon juice. Pour the second sauce over the potatoes and stir in gently. The potato salad tastes best when left to marinate overnight.
