Indian curry sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 40 g fat
  • 40 g flour
  • ½ liter of water
  • 2 bell peppers, red and green
  • Salt
  • curry powder
  • 3 tbsp cream, sweet or sour

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the onion and finely dice. Heat the fat and fry the onions until translucent. Add the flour and fry, stirring constantly, until light yellow. Deglaze with water, stirring constantly, and bring to a boil. Halve, deseed, wash, and slice the bell peppers. Add to the boiling sauce. Continue simmering for 10 minutes, then cook in the residual heat for another 10 minutes. Season with salt and curry powder, and stir in the cream. Serve with fish and rice dishes, boiled eggs, or grilled bananas.
