Rice Krispies mixture for cakes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • some fat
  • 280 g marshmallow(s)
  • 100 g white chocolate coating
  • 70 g butter
  • 300 g puffed rice or Choco Krispies

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

You will also need a microwave-safe bowl, a spatula, and gloves. Place the marshmallows, chocolate coating, and butter in the greased bowl. Melt in the microwave at 500 watts in 30-second intervals. Stir the mixture thoroughly with a greased spatula until completely melted. Alternatively, this step can also be done in a saucepan on the stovetop at low heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Once the mixture is completely melted, add the puffed rice. Stir everything thoroughly until the mixture forms strings and is well combined. Wearing greased gloves, shape the mixture as desired. Once the mixture has hardened, cut or grate it into the desired shape to create a smooth surface. Then cover the shape with a layer of ganache and decorate with fondant as desired. Tip: Spread any leftover mixture onto a baking sheet about 3-4 cm thick and let it dry. Cut into cubes and enjoy as a snack. Note: This Rice Kristie mixture is ideal as a stabilizer for cakes, as the chocolate makes it particularly firm.
