Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g minced beef
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 2 onions, red
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp paprika powder, hot
- 2 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
- 1 bunch of parsley
- olive oil
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp Fondor
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 55 minutes
Dice the onions and garlic cloves into tiny cubes, and finely chop the parsley. Place the minced meat in a large mixing bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add all ingredients, mix well using the dough hook of a hand mixer, and add a little water for the right consistency. Season the dough with Fondor, pepper, and salt, then let it rest in the refrigerator for 24 hours to allow all the spices to infuse. Form the dough into thumb-sized rolls. Fry in hot olive oil, turning the rolls frequently to ensure they are evenly browned. Serve with rice, mixed bell peppers, and browned onion rings, or mashed potatoes and bacon-wrapped beans. Or serve the cevapcici as finger food at a buffet.
