Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 medium-sized onion(s), diced
  • 300 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 125 g grated cheese, e.g. Gouda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • oil

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

smart alternative to meatballs

Mix the onion, ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika. Form the meat mixture into thumb-sized sausages, about 7 cm long. Let cool for 30 minutes, then coat in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs and fry in oil. Serve with tagliatelle, tomato sauce, and salad.
