Schnitzel in paprika cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g schnitzel (e.g. pork or turkey schnitzel)
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 onions
  • 150 g cream
  • ⅛ liter broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

super tasty, for onion fans

Slice the onions into very thin rings. Lightly pound the schnitzels and season with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides. Heat the fat in a pan, add the onions, and sauté for 5 minutes. Push them aside and briefly fry the schnitzels on both sides. Pour in the broth and cream, cover, and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Season to taste. Serve with rice, tagliatelle, spaetzle, etc.
