Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 liters of water
- 1 ½ kg sugar
- 2 handfuls of lavender flowers
- 50 g citric acid
- 2 lemons, sliced
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest period approx. 2 days; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 2 days 33 minutes
Heat the water and sugar in a saucepan and then let the liquid cool. Add the lemon slices and citric acid. Rinse the fresh lavender and drain thoroughly, mix it with the sugar water, and let it steep for up to 3 days. Generally speaking, the longer the syrup steeps, the more intense the flavor. Before decanting, rinse the bottles with hot water and swirl the alcohol around the bottle. Remove the lemon slices and lavender blossoms or strain the syrup through a cheesecloth. Boil the syrup again for 3 minutes. Then bottle.
