Hawaiian toast with whole wheat toast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of toast (wholemeal toast)
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 4 slices of pineapple
  • some butter
  • 4 morello cherries, with some juice from the jar
  • 4 slice(s) processed cheese, e.g. toast

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

First, toast the bread, then spread it lightly with butter. Place the ham on the toast, then the pineapple. Place a morello cherries in the center of the pineapple and drizzle some of the morello cherries’ juice over the pineapple. Finally, place the cheese on top of the pineapple. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake the Hawaiian toast for about 10 minutes.
