Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ¾ liter vodka
  • 40 g juniper berries and 1 tbsp juniper needles
  • 250 g rock sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Infused liqueur

Lightly crush the juniper berries in a mortar and pestle. Finely chop the juniper needles. Then sterilize a large screw-top jar (about 1 liter capacity) in boiling water. Add the rock candy, juniper berries, and needles to the jar and mix. Pour in the vodka, seal the jar, and let it steep for 4 weeks, shaking occasionally. Then strain the berries and needles. Pour the liqueur into sterile bottles and let it steep for another 6 weeks.
