Quick gyros from the grill

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork fillet(s)
  • 4 onions, cut into thin rings
  • ½ lemon(s), organic, zest and juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp mustard, hot
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 day 35 minutes

delicious with bread and tzatziki

Mix the pork fillet with all the other listed ingredients, except the salt, and place it in a large freezer bag. Marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Season with salt and place it in two aluminum BBQ trays. Prepare the grill for direct heat and grill the prepared gyro in the trays for 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned.
