delicious quick dessert for baked apple fans

Pour applesauce into a small ovenproof dish; no greasing is necessary. Sprinkle with cinnamon and xylitol or sugar. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings on top. Bake with the lid closed in a preheated oven at approximately 100°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30-45 minutes, until the chocolate has melted and the applesauce is bubbling gently. Serve hot. Tips: Vanilla sauce tastes delicious with this dish. If desired, you can also sprinkle a few flaked almonds on top. This also works great in the chimney of a wood-burning stove.
