Onion meat with tomatoes

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 600 g pork neck
  • 2 beef tomatoes, 150 – 180 g each
  • 300 g onion(s), cut into thin rings
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 30 g ginger root, finely diced
  • 30 g paprika paste, mild
  • 30 ml soy sauce, dark
  • n. B. Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the meat into thin strips. Peel the onions and cut them into thin rings. Peel the garlic cloves and ginger root and dice them finely. Wash the tomatoes, remove the skins, and chop them finely. Brown the meat strips in a hot, greased pan, stirring frequently. Remove the meat strips with a slotted spoon and set aside, covered. Brown the onion rings with the finely chopped garlic and ginger in the frying fat. After about 5 minutes, stir in the paprika paste and sweat. Now stir in the browned meat strips with the tomato puree and soy sauce. Cook the onion meat gently, covered, for about 15 minutes. Season to taste with salt before serving.
