Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 100 g butter, soft
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • a little vanilla, ground
  • 150 g buttermilk or sour cream
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

First, cream the butter until smooth, then add the sugar, eggs, salt, and vanilla, and beat with a mixer until fluffy. Then, add the buttermilk or sour cream. Combine the flour and baking powder, sift them over the mixture, and carefully fold in. Add any other ingredients, such as fruit, if desired, and then pour into the prepared pans. Bake at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) in the second-to-lowest oven for 30-40 minutes. This recipe yields approximately 6-10 muffins.
